At Benesse House, Park and Museum have their own restaurants to provide for a more comfortable stay on Naoshima. Terrace Restaurant offers a menu that presents the true flavors of the ingredients on your plate, and Museum Restaurant Issen offers a menu that makes the most of seasonal ingredients from Setouchi.

This restaurant is located on the ground floor of the Benesse House Museum. The large windows allow you to appreciate the view of the Inland Sea and modern art from any seat while you enjoy a meal in this extraordinary space. In addition to a dinner menu focusing on kaiseki cuisine made with fresh Setouchi seafood, breakfast and lunch featuring a wide variety of seasonal ingredients are also available.

Museum Cafe

This cafe is on the second floor of the Benesse House Museum. Natural light pours into the interior through large windows facing to the south and west, allowing you to enjoy a leisurely light meal or beverage while gazing out at the Inland Sea below. There is also a shop which has a selection of books on the Benesse House Museum, as well as a selection of art goods that make perfect souvenirs.

Other Facilities

Lounge

This lounge is located in the basement of Benesse House Park. It was renovated in March 2022 by the “New Material Research Laboratory” presided over by Hiroshi Sugimoto. Guests who stay at Benesse House or visitors can only use the Hiroshi Sugimoto Gallery: Time Corridors. Bar time where you can enjoy original cocktails is available only on weekends (Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and the day before national holidays).
